Cartridge Filters and Replacements
Cartridge filters are preferable for systems with contaminations less than 100, that means with contamination levels less than 0.01% by weight and can be realized as surface or as depth-type filters. For concentrations that are bigger than 100ppm then a bag filter, filter press, or some other method should be used instead of cartridge filters.
Depth-type cartridge filters capture contamination through the total thickness of the medium, while in surface filters (usually made of thinner materials like papers, woven wire cloths) particles are captured at the surface of the filter.
Cartridge filters are also designed disposable, which means that they have to be replaced when the filter is clogged.

Cartridge Filters
Spun Bonded Cartridge Filters - Depth Filter
The Spun Bonded Cartridge Filters are of the new class of Depth Filters which are manufactured by firing a controlled density of polypropylene onto a center core.
String Wound Cartridge Filters - Depth Filters
String Wound Cartridge Filters are the original Cartridge Filter. They are still very widely used in Industry.
Pleated Cartridge Filters - GMP - High Purity
GMP products are manufactured under controlled clean room conditions with lot and individual product traceability for GMP required processes which include Pharmaceutical & Biotech processes.
Capsule Cartridge Filters - Disposables
A combination of a Cartridge and a Housing in one product to allow for ease of disposal for sensitive and difficult to handle fluids.
Carbon Cartridge Filters
Carbon is one of the workhorse materials in the separations field. It is used for chlorine and organics removal from municipal water supplies and for organics, color and other purifications in the plating and printed circuit industries.
Light Industrial - Pleated Cartridge Filters
Light Industrial and Commercial Product for low viscosity fluids without strict beta cleanliness requirements.
Stainless Steel Cartridge Filters
Stainless Steel Cartridge Filters are used where high temperature and material compatibilities restrict polymer and fabric uses. They have use as cleanable reusable elements.
Cartridge Filter Housings
See this page for factors involved in selecting the correct cartridge filter housing for your application.
